The perfect suitcase: the definitive list

Same story every year...

The holiday season is approaching and like every year it is proposed before us the age-old question of packing, here is in a practice and handy list of 20 points what must never be missing for me in the perfect suitcasewhich is mine.

Small premises

Small but important premise: I love travelling, seeing and discovering ever-changing places and cultures, so when i talk about holiday in general my mental set is that, but obviously the list below is easily adaptable to other types of holidays such as the sea olin the mountains.

Second and last premise: my suitcase is still contained e compact must be strictly a hand luggage, because if the holiday is to get away and relax, we can't in any way leave with the bump of a mega-baggage bigger than us to be checked in the hold or, if we don't travel by plane so heavy as to be unable to move it independently .

The suitcase, in this period of my life, is very "smart", hasty and compact, I would define it functional and designed for trips where I want to venture and discover ever new worlds and cultures, together with my other half, my husband who, in packing, or rather the backpack is even faster and "minimal" than me.

Here is the solution

Ready? Here my packing list, I hope you find it useful!

(The list is in alphabetical order only, no entry is more or less important than another)

  1. Clothing: I try to choose combinations that form complete outfits, preferring all garments made with as few centimeters of fabric as possible and that do not crease. Free way to shorts, crop tops and mini dresses, as well as being very comfortable, they are all garments that take up little space, for example I would never take away a blazer or a maxi dress made with a shirt. L'only golden rule è choose all the clothes of 3, maximum 4 colors in tone or that go well with each other, so even in case of combinations to be redone at the moment you will have no problems.
  2. Electrical outlet adapters: not to run out of charge! If you go abroad, remember that there is not always a European plug, on the market there are adapters with different types of plugs with which they work.

  3. Good mood and spirit of adventure: the best allies for an unforgettable holiday!
  4. Hair & surroundings : in single-dose version I bring shampoo and conditioner, (for a few days I can survive even without post-drying products), a comb for bangs a small brush and a mythical one mini portable plate, it's legendary because since I a priori refuse to take the hair dryer with me in some cases where the latter was not available in the living room accommodation, the mini straightener really saved me!
  5. Colored Necklaces : I always like to carry a few with me and I want there to be a multicolor effect: both recreated and not. Necklaces e colore manage to underline and remind me of theatmosphere of joy of the holidays!
  6. Foulard and Scarvesa really useful accessory in view of the holidays but above all very easy to transport because small, light and compact! The scarf is an accessory very versatile as you can wear it as a scarf, as a bandana and as I showed you in one of mine Reels on Instagram it can also become a real collier, and let's not forget its use as “twill” if fastened to the handle of the bag (it will give her a touch of glam in less than no time, in a nutshell you put it everywhere!).
  7. Tourist Guides, Maps and Maps : to better explore the destination, I love and collect Lonely Planet for decades now.

  8. Supplements: to regulate circadian rhythms in the case of jet lag e mask for the eyes if you can't sleep unless completely in the dark. Another supplement that I always carry with me in case of tiredness is magnesium.
  9. UNDERWEARor rather "the underpants", in a non-alphabetical order it would be the point and one not by chance. I don't settle for my underpants, I always take twice as many days as I'm away, because as a sciura I am, you never know and…they must be strictly comfortable! I also bring a few more pairs that are even more comfortable for sleeping. Bras instead reduced to the bone, I take very few motivated by the fact that I consider it an uncomfortable garment and which I often gladly do without, the holiday is freedom!
  10. Personal hygiene: whether they are soap, body cream or shampoo always in single dose, so on the way back it's all weight less. The only exception is if you go to the beach where you can take single doses given the quantity of body cream between the sun cream and the after-only cream that we will use, it would be economically inconvenient.
  11. First aid kitplasters, disinfectant, painkillers, but above all lactic ferments that it would be nice to take even before leaving. Since I suffer from low blood pressure, one of my allies forever and especially on vacation if I plan to walk a lot is Magnesium.
  12. Something from TO READ: it can't be called a vacation if it doesn't include dozens of hours spent idling or deceiving expectations with your nose between the pages of a book, I'm in a period of my life in which I don't read novels, but mostly non-fiction, so as not to run into too heavy but in the suitcase I found the right compromise with the Biography.
  13. MAKE-UP:I start from the lipsticks without which I don't even get out of bed and I prefer to add an extra color to them at the expense of foundation which, for example, I avoid wearing, I could summarize the beauty for vacation make-up as: pink lipstick, lipstick coral, blush, concealer, eye-liner, a neutral eyeshadow and mascara, Stop.
  14. Sun glasses: and in my case contact lenses which I prefer for the holidays in the daily version, more comfortable, faster and more hygienic.

  15. Pen and notebook: not because you necessarily have to keep a logbook, but because the sensations and ideas perceived in OFF mode deserve to remain impressed in black and white.

  16. Sun protection: both to be worn as an accessory: hat and glasses alone and to spread on the body like sunscreen! (for all that is cosmetic I always try to bring everything in single-dose but I'll tell you more about this under creams and personal hygiene)

  17. Le Perle: among the jewels to take on holiday for me they absolutely cannot be missing and by pearls I mean of any shape or size with their illuminating power they will go well with any color and with any type of look both day and night.

  18. JEWEL CASE: since in my opinion the most comfortable and versatile outfits are the essentials and basic ones, jewels cannot be missing, a pearl choker and a particular earring will suffice and every look will immediately appear different, and then to transport them without damaging them the best option is a jewelery box compact and sweet.

  19. Snacks: like bars or other kinds that you are sure won't bother you because if like me you suffer from intolerances and you travel you will certainly not be taken aback.

  20. CAREFREE: Light-heartedness and desire to return after discovering something new.

Life is already very chaotic on its own, but making lists and using them from time to time (not only for holidays for example, but also for a business meeting, a trip...) can make it easier. Planning isn't necessarily just obsessive at times, as in this case it turns out to be a great convenience.

I hope that my packing list and advice can be useful for you too!

So now that you also have the list you can prepare yourself for the holiday period and make sure you have everything you need for a perfect suitcase with you.

Good start! 🌴🌞✈️
